Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
Genesis 1:26

Have you heard of the creation of the world? What about the creation of people?

There are many books that tell stories about how the world was created after an explosion and how humans evolved from monkeys... These are all just theories! Do you know what a theory is? A theory is when academics develop an idea and think that something happened a certain way, but they can't prove it.

That means they're not safe!

Oh, oh, oh, so how do we know for sure what happened?

The Bible, which is the Word of God, always tells us the truth. Let's see how God created human beings.

Adam and Eve were a copy of God. And so are you!

Biblical reference: Genesis 1-2

In the beginning, the earth was empty, dark, and formless. God decided it was time to begin creating the world. Do you know how this creation happened?

God created the world with his word. He spoke and things appeared, because he is the Creator! Our God is truly very powerful…

And what's even better: he created it all in less than a week! Now you'll know what he did every day!

  • Day 1 – God made light. And he separated the light from the darkness, and called the light day, and the darkness night.

  • Day 2 – God created the heavens. He separated the waters that were under the sky from the waters that were above the sky;

  • Day 3 – God created the seas and all the vegetation (plants and trees);

  • Day 4 – God made the sun, the moon, and the stars;

  • Day 5 – God created the fish, the large sea animals, the birds, and the reptiles;

  • Day 6 – God created domestic animals, wild animals, reptiles, and…

…Do you think creation is finished? No, no, no! God was very happy with what He had made, but His most special creation was still missing: human beings—people!

He decided to create man first. He took dust from the ground, formed the man, and breathed life into him. Done! You probably already know this man’s name, right? It’s Adam!

But God saw that the man would feel alone, so He made him a companion—a woman. God caused Adam to fall into a deep sleep, took one of his ribs, and created Eve, the very first woman.

Now comes the best part!

Who do you think Adam and Eve looked like? You? Me? God made it very clear who human beings are meant to resemble—Himself, God! How amazing!

There is a verse that says: “Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness’” (Genesis 1:26).

Do you know what that means? It means that Adam, Eve, you, me, and all people were created to reflect God. We are all loved and special because we were created by God with great love and care!

None of us was born by chance, and no one is better than anyone else. God made everyone equal.

Someone may have light or dark skin, straight or curly hair, be short or tall, be born in one country or another, live in a big house or a very small room… these are just details, because what truly matters is how God created us.

You are made in God’s image and likeness! When you look in the mirror, you don’t just see a face and a body—you reflect the Creator Himself!

Never let anyone make you feel less or think you are not special. You are a blessing, because God made you, and you are like Him!

What did you learn about creation?

God loves us so much that He insisted we become like Him.

But we have a spiritual enemy (we don't see him, but he exists) who is always trying to tell us that we are not important, that we are not loved by God or by people.

But that's a lie!

If God hadn't wanted us to exist, He would never have let us be born. He formed us and created us to be His friends and to be with Him every day!

It is TIME to PRAY

Father, I want to thank you for creating me. My life is important, and I am like you. I always want to be close to you because you love me and take care of me. In Jesus' name, amen.
